Wimba, the education technology that helps people teach people, is currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper in our UK Office to work within our global Finance team. This is a full time position with significant potential for professional growth, reporting to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
Sales
-Raising invoices
-Posting invoices on system
Credit Control
-Liaise with relevant sales manager to ensure timely payment of invoices - applies particularly to -customers outside the UK
Purchases
-Setting up new accounts as when required ensure that Wimba gets the best possible value -Posting Purchase Invoices. Paying Purchase Invoices
VAT caculations and correspondence with Revenue & Customs
-VAT return and euro sales statistics
-VAT is cash not accrual basis
Payroll and HR
-Process monthly payroll
-P11D P60 dispensation etc
-On going correspondence with Revenue and Customs
-Administer pension scheme (on line monthly submissions) and liaise with Ensors pension advisor ref new entrants
-Set up and administer AXA health scheme and Denplan dental plan
-Collect relevant data from new employees for setting up on UK payroll and for UK held files
-Payroll year end processing
Employee Expenses
-Process all employee expenses and
-Company credit card transactions - ensure that all original VAT receipts are attached and that all expenses are received on time and with correct VAT receipts attached
-Expenses are reimbursed as they are received and not monthly through the payroll
Office Management
-Property - manage office and co-ordinate relocation to Cambridge
-Property owned by Bury St Edmunds Investments Limited
Oversee office manager/bookkeeper in France
