£21,891.56 - £24,460.82 pa + £1,167 plus Essential Car User Allowance

Previous audit experience is preferred, but is not essential. We believe that experienced housing or finance professionals, after training and development would be successful in the role of Assistant Internal Auditor, although Qualified or Part Qualified IIA / Accountant or equivalent or relevant experience is desirable but not essential.
As Assistant Auditor you will assist the Head of Internal Audit in delivering a programme of system, operational and risk audits across the Group's activities in accordance with the Strategic Audit/Business Assurance Plan.
Do you have the personal capability to work with a wide variety of people, and to enlist their cooperation in delivering the objectives of the Audit department? Do you have a sound knowledge of housing or finance systems, and a willingness to extend your knowledge to all sectors of our business?
To meet the Group's commitment to an effective internal audit service you will:
•have an understanding of the importance of internal audit, including the operation of key business and financial systems, processes, controls and management of risks;
•be able to analyse a large volume of data, evaluate and demonstrate an ability to reach reasonable, logical conclusions
•have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to assimilate and evaluate new information quickly and accurately;
•have the ability to write concise and meaningful management reports;
•be flexible and creative in your approach to problem solving, reaching sound conclusions and making practical recommendations;
