Working from stunning rural offices not far from Worthing, Burgess Hill and Brighton; you will enjoy working with what is an almost purely qualified team where they believe in allowing colleagues the freedom to work under their own initiative (But with support).
Our client
Established for over one hundred years, they still retain a large number of London based clients which stems from their original roots in the City and Hove.
Around twenty staff work from exceptional rural, open-plan offices. They purposefully have a flat structure and have only one trainee.
Their clients are both locally and City based and range from High Net Worth individuals, OMB's and a large number of charitable/NFP organisations. Within this sector they are within the Top 20!
They don't believe in heavy handed management and largely leave the qualified staff to manage their own work. That said, the Partners and Managers have an 'open door' policy and a meeting once per week ensures you're on-track.
The role
You will be working with ten colleagues in the Audit team, all of whom are based in an open-plan office. The Audit Partner is enthusiastic, supportive and he loves to see his colleagues use their own initiative. You will largely manage your own work flow but with his support. Once a file is ready for review, he will be on hand to help as required. He dislikes an intensive management style and you'll find this to be a mature and responsible environment as a result.
Your role will be predominantly audit based but there will also be accounts preparation work to supplement your audit work. Clients will vary from a medium size OMB in Brighton to a multimillion pound income charity in London.
Experience & skills required
Ideally qualified but part qualified also considered
A background in an audit biased role
Ideally some experience of working with charitable or not for profit clients
