Accounts Assistant - Chester, Cheshire
A leading professional support and engineering services group that helps clients within the public sector is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to be based in Chester.
A temporary position (13 month fixed term contract, maternity cover) has arisen for a Financial Administrator to provide support to the Business Unit in the Utilities Business Stream of this global company.
Ideally you will have experience of all aspects of administration, with a strong emphasis on financial management and reporting. Excellent administration and organisational skills are essential. Previous experience using MS Office is essential.
Main competencies are:
Financial Administration Support
Project Administration Support
Data Input
Co-ordinating weekly tasks across the Business Stream
Standard weekly reporting to Business Stream/Group Board
Preparation of monthly PandL for local office, accruals/prepayments, journal input
Managing office petty cash float and monthly reconciliations
Miscellaneous financial reporting
Assisting Local Finance Administrators in numerous offices nationwide
Supporting Financial Controllers/Management Accountants
Other administrative support as required
Required Skills:
Have the ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Be able to communicate at all levels and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience of financial administration is a distinct advantage.
