General Insurance Pricing Analyst
£25-35K, plus excellent benefits
Halifax
Purpose
To assist the pricing team in the production of highly specialised and strategically sensitive information on the market pricing and future rating of all General Insurance products in order that key objectives are achieved.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To carry our statistical risk factors analysis of all General Insurance products that PI sell or could potentially sell
To produce management information relating to product performance regularly or ad-hoc for use by Senior Management
To carry our regular reserving analysis of all General Insurance products that PI sell
To maintain an excellent knowledge of competition analysis software
To maintain an in-depth level of general technical knowledge of General Insurance products, market developments and market trends in products that PI sell
To maintain an in-depth knowledge of the tools we use, Rate Assessor, EMBLEM, RESQ, ACCESS etc
To develop ownership of a specialised area (eg Ireland, CV etc)
Document processes to help the team become efficient as possible
Understand the teams key objectives and ensure that all activity is focused on delivering those key objectives
What specific SKILLS & EXPERIENCE will this role require?
Essential
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Highly numerate (gained by experience or/& qualification)
Display attention to detail and accuracy
Self motivated and ability to work under pressure both in isolation and with other business areas
Good communication skills
Ability to manage and prioritise given workload with business objectives
