Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager - Surrey - £30-£35,000 plus Bonus and benefits.
Our client is a thriving medium/large sized registered Insurance Broker based in Surrey who specialises in national commercial scheme business. The company prides itself on its friendly and stimulating work environment. The company has a young, motivated work-force and has expanded rapidly. Staff turnover is practically non existent.
The company is the UK market leader in their field. Within the UK group we also have a General Insurance division handling commercial and personal lines business a Lloyd’s broker, a specialist environmental consultancy and a risk management consultancy.
The job holder will operate under the terms of our binding authority agreement with insurers, and will be expected to successfully underwrite within the terms of this authority. In respect of cases over agreed authority levels, the job holder will make recommendations for referral to underwriters for cases in excess of the agreed levels.
Relevant experience of general insurances specifically liability and material damage insurance is essential as well as previous experience of dealing with Insurance Brokers. This is both a demanding and satisfying role with full autonomy and control in this area reporting to the MD. The ability to turn around work quickly and efficiently in a challenging environment is also important. Good communication skills are essential.
This role would suit an experienced and mature underwriter with an Insurance Company background who is willing to put in the effort and work out the rest of his career.
Salary of circa £30,000 to a maximum of £35,000 for the right person. Normal working hours 9 until 5.00pm. Bonuses have been paid every year and have been substantial with the minimum over the last 3 years being 30%. Full benefits such as pension, life insurance, health insurance, personal accident and permanent health also provided. The office has a no-smoking policy with a casual dress code.
