The role
Working in a team of seven, the following duties would be asked of you:
Provision of a Management Accounting support service to members of the Senior Management Team and their departments
Responsible for producing monthly management accounts showing performance against budget and to review these on a formal basis with Senior Management Team (SMT) members, investigating and interpreting variances against budget
Ensure the effective reconciliation of appropriate control accounts on a monthly basis and support the Deputy Director of Finance and Financial Accountant in the production of the year end financial statements.
Responsible for producing annual departmental budgets with SMT members
Support SMT and budget managers in specific management accounting tasks including production of business cases, identify clarification of cost savings, and where necessary support the preparation of bid documentation for project funds
Experience & skills required
You will need to be fully qualified in a recognised accounting qualification; and have practical experience in management accounting within a medium to large organisation.
Key skills and attributes that you must posses include excellent IT skills, interpersonal skills and an analytical approach to problem solving.
