Job Title:		Costing Assistant

Description:		Costing Assistant - Caerphilly, Mid Glamorgan Costing Clerk, Caerphilly, To £16,000. Based on the outskirts of Caerphilly, our client is seeking person to assist with the following: This role is to assist with the preparation of costing contracts according to set prices, administering contracts and monitoring engineer activity against them. Key activities include: * Monitoring costing of job invoices, using pre-determined prices for each customer (some of this process is computerised) * Receiving timesheets from engineers on a weekly basis (chasing them if necessary) and processing the information to generate engineer’s weekly pay (in terms of hours) * Using information from engineer’s timesheets to update job lists on WIP (work in progress) and completed work, to prepare the account for invoicing * Monitoring labour and parts costs against quoted job invoices and liaising with customers service co-ordinators and engineers when these are about to exceed the original quote * Gathering information regarding warranty claims and preparing necessary documentation/inputting necessary information to enable warranty manager to effectively and efficiently process these * Recording and monitoring service slippage data A good knowledge of computer systems is needed, they use Microsoft Office package and Kerridge Automotive Systems (training will be provided if needed for this system) Hours of work are 8.30am – 5pm, Monday – Friday For further information on this position, please contact APLUS Appointments, Cardiff direct.
