Job Title:Managing Consultant Economist
Description:Managing Consultant Economist - Oxfordshire. Oxon, Thames Valley, Oxfordshire Our client, a leading Economics Consultancy, is looking for economists at Managing Consultant level to lead teams working on policy and market analysis, competition policy, regulation, performance assessment, financial economics and corporate finance across a wide range of sectors including energy, transport, telecommunications, financial services and water. An excellent first degree (or equiv) is needed (ideally a MSc/PhD) and relevant post-graduate work experience. Languages are useful. As a Managing Consultant you will normally head a consultancy team, assigning work to it; provide strategic focus to business development and team management; and have a detailed knowledge of a specific sector and/or economic skill. You will need excellent client interaction and development skills. You must be able to provide intellectual leadership on projects; and to be able to manage significant projects and act as line manager to staff. You will be involved in recruiting consultants into the company. Salary will be negotiable depending on work background and qualifications but is unlikely to be a bar in attracting the right candidate.
