Tax Accountant - Birmingham, Birmingham
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Tax Accountant for a leading National Company. Based in central Birmingham and working within a team of forty, you will be reporting to the Head of Partner Services. This role will involve preparation of the firm's tax computation and appraising the firm of the consequences of changes in taxation legislation. The ability to maintain a productive relationship with external tax advisors, HMRC and other relevant authorities will also be essential.
Tasks include maintaining and developing a working knowledge of all main taxes including Income tax, Schedule E, CGT, NIC, VAT and Stamp Duty. Co-ordinating the tax filing requirements of existing overseas branches and advising on any potential tax issues. Being the point of contact for HR colleagues to advise on tax efficient staff benefits (childcare vouchers, computers for home etc), secondment policy, and termination payments. Managing the P11d and PAYE Settlement processes and maintaining the current dispensation agreement with HMRC. You will also be identifying tax/cost saving strategies and managing the UK firm's exposure to overseas taxes through appropriate Tax Treaty relief's.
The ideal applicant will be a Qualified Chartered Tax Adviser/Accountant (ACCA) educated to at least degree level or equivalent. You should have demonstrable experience of dealing with the tax affairs (both compliance and planning) of a partnership (ideally including international aspects).You must have knowledge of corporate tax. The ability to deliver outstanding quality of service to senior internal and external customers will be essential for this role.

Salary- £50,000- £60,000 per annum.
