Regional Sales Trainer - Field based Northern region, North

This arm of the company specialise in group risk, employee benefits, pensions, offshore and onshore investments (with over 35,000 bonds) and a HNW - VIP investments division.
Seeking a Regional Sales Trainer, the role is field based with the office location in Brighton for the Insurance Products Division. Reporting to the Sales Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Use a variety of techniques to analyse, identify and prioritize agent and management training needs.
Responsible for producing and delivering UK Agency Training and Development programmes.
Design solutions, prepare and fully document training material to incorporate clear aims, objectives, standards and measurable outcomes for all delegates.
Deliver as directed, a range of knowledge and skills based training programs to ensure that agents and managers are prepared and equipped to carry out their role responsibilities in a skilled and effective manner.
Follow up with Unit and Agency Managers after training to ensure implementation of agreed actions and measure effectiveness of training - make appropriate recommendations for remedial actions and improvements to training content as necessary.
Provide regular reporting to UK Agency Sales Director on results of training.
Regularly observe, assess, document, provide feedback and coaching to members of UK Agency team to maintain and improve delivery skills and effectiveness.
Maintain and develop own level of skills and knowledge by undertaking regular 'show and observe' joint field work with agents and managers.
Maintain awareness and understanding of company and industry training practices, techniques and trends to ensure delivery of most effective training methods.
Through meetings and discussion with regular observation by the UK Agency Sales Director, maintain own program of personal development.
IMPORTANT:
Clean drivers licence.
SYSTEMS:
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
ESSENTIAL:
Excellent communication skills / first class customer facing skills.
Ability to multi task, well organised, with good time management skills.
Excellent PC skills.
Must be resilient, motivated, with a "can do" attitude.
Proven track record within a sales environment.
Experience of writing and delivering courses from start to finish.
Able to understand the key factors and the inter-relationships that will affect the design and delivery of training and the measurement of training performance.
Demonstrates a clear understanding and appreciation of the importance of training to the organization.
Action oriented with a sense of urgency.
Geared towards the delivery of results.
Co-operative, able to develop effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Manages and develops training as a Business Resource producing measurable results.
Demonstrates 'best practice' through coaching and facilitating learning in others.
Excellent people management skills, with emphasis on coaching and development.
Able to communicate effectively and gain credibility.
Able to monitor tasks and performance to ensure a timely and thorough completion.
Good attention to detail / methodical approach.
EDUCATION:
Candidates should be educated to at least 'GCSE' / 'A' Level calibre or equivalent.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Any training qualification such as CIPD or equivalent.
Any financial services qualifications such as FPC or equivalent an advantage.
BACKGROUND:
Candidates will need to have a solid training background, coupled with relevant experience gained within a financial services sales environment.
Must come from a direct sales background.
