1st Notification Claims Handler

Our client is seeking candidates from any claims background to work on 1st Notification claims. To be successful in this position you will have a sound educational background with a strong customer approach and experience in a customer service capacity. Role Purpose
To deliver outstanding customer service at first point of contact and provide an excellent claims handling service, in line with all procedures and standards
Principal Responsibilities
Handle first notification of loss to meet and exceed team objectives
Answering customer calls in line with schedule
Proactive identification of fraudulent cases and recovery potential
Provide advice, guidance, services and solutions which meet the customers needs, referring more complex cases through to the appropriate pipelines as appropriate
Produce and process all documentation resulting from the customer contact in an effective and timely manner, or ensure that the information passes to colleagues responsible for these activities
Develop and maintain all required skills, including a good working knowledge of relevant software tools and systems, to facilitate the effective delivery of work activities
Provide excellent customer service at the first point of contact
Maintain an awareness of GI products, services and developments to improve service and claims handling.
Receive, understand and assess customers' requirements to ensure that the services provided meet their needs
Dimensions
Working in a team of up to 12 Claims Customer Advisers, reporting to a Claims Team Manager

Experience of working in a customer centric environment, whilst desirable, is not essential
