Regional Sales Manager – Protection
As part of one of the UK’s largest retail banks, our client sells Mortgages, Protection and General Insurance products to the Intermediary market through Key Relationships with IFA's, Mortgage Brokers, Estate Agents and Insurance Company representatives.
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager with detailed technical knowledge of trust planning, business protection planning and wealth preservation planning.
This role is field based covering the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland so applicants must have a full UK driving licence and be prepared to travel.
The package, including bonus, is circa £100k with basic salary ranging from £46,000 - £69,000 dependant on experience
You will be accountable for
· Achieving revenue growth through driving sales performance and achieving business targets.
· Maximise sales opportunities and customer profitability and value
· Leading, managing and motivating a team
· Relationship management of key internal and external stakeholders
· Delivery of strategic and tactical account management and planning to optimise customer potential.
· Personal ownership of key customers, sales targets and customer experience
· Ownership and management of business areas cost and risk - manage the balance between sales and cost performance within regulatory compliance
The Ideal Candidate will have
· Deep understanding of the selling of complex products and comprehensive solutions.
· Knowledge of relevant company procedures and processes
· Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements
· Assertive and results-orientated team player with a positive attitude and clear opinions
· Strong communication and negotiation skills
· Highly developed technical specialist presentation skills
· Demonstrable evidence of personal drive and commitment
· High level decision-making ability
· Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
· Proven ability to assimilate complex and ambiguous information
· Proven managerial and leadership experience in a changing and challenging business environment
· Track record of outstanding achievement and success
· Significant experience in intermediary banking or financial sales roles
· Experience of managing and developing sales and sales development staff to exceed targets
