Financial Accountant, (to £35k), Kettering, Northants.

Our client Incorporated is a leading global innovator, manufacturer and marketer of tools, diagnostics and equipment solutions for professional users. Product lines include hand and power tools, tool storage, diagnostic software, information and management systems, shop equipment and other solutions for vehicle manufacturers, dealerships and repair centres, as well as customers in industry, government, agriculture and construction.
The role:
Working for our client at their offices in Kettering, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for their Netherlands Dealer business, UK Insurance subsidiary, UK repair centre and shared service accruals.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
a) Timely completion of monthly and annual closing processes for the respective business units to strict deadlines.
b) Monthly reporting including P&L packages, variance analysis, sales, margins and KPI reports and analysis of trends.
c) Monthly key balance sheet control account reconciliation process.
d) To continuously monitor procedures and changes to ensure ongoing financial control.
e) Annual and quarterly budget/forecast preparation.
f) Liaise with auditors at year end and provide related schedule and analysis.
The successful candidate:
a) Ideally you be a qualified accountant, ACCA / CIMA qualified, although consideration will also be given to exceptional candidates qualified by experience.
b) You will have several years experience in accounting and financial reporting and prior experience of working for a US or multi-national company would be advantageous as would knowledge of the Baan Triton accounting system.
c) Additionally you will be able to demonstrate initiative, commitment, integrity and ethics and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines is essential.
