The company: Major Global Securities House based in Canary Wharf.
The Role: Product Development
*Good understanding across the company`s products and appreciation of cross product impacts
*Awareness of Market and company`s product positioning within it
*Responsible for defining strategic direction of product development
*Identification of opportunities for product developments or new products
*Maintaining vendor relations and understanding their product developments and strategic direction
Product Support
*Facilitating product communication and understanding internally and externally to the company through:
oArticles in publications
oInternal presentations
oAttending conferences / industry events
oVisiting clients / prospects
oOther opportunities as required
*Running Product Working Groups
Communication
*Work directly with all levels of business and management
*Chair meetings attended by senior management
*Work with external parties (including vendors and clients)
*Write product communications
*Give presentations to promote product awareness (both internally and externally)
Organisational Skills
*Able to plan and delegate tasks, recording progress and estimated completion dates
*Can quickly switch to a second task if unable to continue with primary task
*Strives to continually improve productivity and quality of work produced
Teamwork
*Participates in discussions to achieve the best solution
*Willing to work extra time to provide assistance in times of crises and to meet delivery dates
*Is self motivated and conscientious
*Continually seeks to expand technical, business and product knowledge
*Any other duties as required.
The Candidate:
*Extensive experience of the finance industry
*Must have a working knowledge of lifecycle, + implementation functions.
*Must be comfortable working to deadlines
*Team player
*Able to own and run with all relevant deliverables to completion
*Must be able to communicate at a senior level, clearly and concisely
*Industry Knowledge in particular clearing and settlement in the financial services industry.
