Finance Controller (Part Time, 30 hours per week) Northampton.
Position: Finance Controller
Location: Pitsford, Northamptonshire (around 6 miles North of Northampton).
Salary: £30 to 35k (pro rata)
Hours: Part time, 30 hours per week (can be flexible as to when those hours are worked)
The company:
Our client is an innovative Project Management company. They set up and deliver successful Energy Efficiency Schemes in the Utilities sector and plastic smartcard schemes in the Transport market. They are now looking to appoint a Finance Controller.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
a) Manage and supervise all financial accounting, controlling and reporting activities for Novacroft as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual reports and accounts.
b) Analyse financial results and provide the management with a clear understanding of the financial performance and the financial effects / implications of business plans and strategies. Proactively identify deviations and establish action plans to take corrective actions when required.
c) Provide economic analysis on all matters of potential financial impact for the business, particularly in terms of costing, customer / product lines evaluation and capital addition.
d) Management of the Finance Team.
The successful candidate:
a) Accounting qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
b) Strong academic background to include strong numerical and analytical skills.
c) Strong pc modelling skills including Excel and experience of general ledgers and MI databases.
d) Good knowledge of current accounting practices.
e) Able to use Sage Line 50 for a variety of financial and accountancy tasks.
f) Sound experience of effective management reporting techniques including actuals, budgeting and re-forecasting.
g) Experience of general ledgers and MI databases.
h) Experience of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control processes.
You may have experience of the following: Financial Controller, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Group Controller, Management Accountant, Chief Accountant, Finance Director, Financial Director.
