A fantastic opportunity exists for a Finance Manager working with the Project Director to establish and maintain sound project financial plans, controls and procedures, compliant with Corporate guidelines, which will deliver the project to the customer's satisfaction and meet Corporate financial targets.
Provide guidance to project management on all financial aspects of the business.
Provide an independent perspective of project performance and plans, highlighting concerns outwith the project where necessary.
Establish strong working relationships with key financial contacts both internal and externally.
Assistance in the development of staff and provision of mentoring support as the need arises.
Ad hoc support to other areas of the Company as need arises.
Responsible for the production of consolidated financial information.
Experience and qualifications:
The successful candidate will be Degree (Hons) educated in a relevant subject (or equivalent) Sound technical expertise in at least one accounting specialism and with Understanding of the defence industry, political environment and legislative issues
It would be desirable to hold an Accounting qualification with considerable experience of the following: management accounts, cash forecasting, pricing principles, project management and effective monitoring, scheduled costings.
