A private Health Care Hospital is looking for a Finance Manager based in Southern Greater London paying between £40,000 and £45,000 with bonus opportunity.
The position of Finance Manager is the 2nd joint managerial post within the hospital (along with the Director of Nursing) and reports to the hospital Executive Director. There is also a reporting line from a financial perspective through to the Regional Finance Director.
The role is responsible for all aspects of finance within the hospital from the month end process, overall responsibility for the control environment, budgeting/forecasting through to a role in driving margin through analysis and execution.
The Finance Manager has day to day responsibility for the 'Back Office' function which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, cash collection and all associated KPI's from this function.
This includes responsibility for the control environment to ensure appropriate controls are in place throughout the hospital and they will work closely with the other heads of department to ensure all controls are robustly adhered to.
As a Finance Manager you are also part of the senior management team and will help shape the future of the hospital through value added analysis providing robust financial analysis and business cases to support future direction.
We are looking for a proven qualified account (possibly part-qualified or very good QBE), with, ideally, at least 3 years PQE, with a track record in proactive financial management who believes that a finance function is integral to the success of any organisation and where the senior finance staff adds value to the organisation on an ongoing basis.
As a Finance Manager you should have the personality to make tough decisions and make sure they are executed by working with the senior management team. Of equal importance is the ability to interact confidently at review meetings and particularly also with Consultants and other relevant parties.
