Job Purpose:
Win new contracts from prospective customers within the defined market sector, for existing and new products of the company
Job Role:
· Responsible for agreeing business plans with our prospects and ensuring that the business plan is deliverable.
· Deliver new business opportunities for THE COMPANY within specified markets.
· Develop a detailed understanding and appreciation of the market sector you operate within.
· Target companies within market sectors where we can offer and develop our existing product portfolio.
· Proactively seek new product opportunities for THE COMPANY within defined market.
· Cold Calling Companies within market sector.
· Manage a sales pipeline and meet new business targets.
· Delivering presentations to key stakeholders with internal and external companies.
· Responsible for delivering customers in a timely and targeted fashion that sits with the operational and deliverable aspects of our business.
· Devise, develop and implement competitive and innovative solutions
· Negotiate complex and cost conscious contracts
· Manage and exceed client expectations.
· Identify new opportunities with existing business partners to produce an increase revenue generation.
· Ensure all relevant staff are engaged on new business and supplied with all appropriate documentation to meet client’s requirements.
· Upon delivering new business, continue to with the business partner to drive and maximise the opportunity during the contracts first 12 months.

Commercial Management
Manage market sector to deliver AOP service targets and maximise new opportunities. Ensure costs are managed to plan and margins are maintained and controlled
· Joint ownership of the market sector AOP, to include revenue and new business targets.
· Monitor and evaluate account KPI’s comparing data and reviewing trends
· Exhibit strong financial and analytical ability
· Deliver highly competitive yet profitable commercial proposals enabling the company to be on target to meet and exceed AOP whilst minimising group risk to any proposition
· Demonstrate a sound understanding of strategic and operational areas of the business and account
· Identify issues, reviews variances and instigate corrective actions when required
· Monitor performance against plan
· Develop strong internal and external relationships
· Developing and co-developing new business development strategies that are aligned to customer needs and business capabilities, that maximises competitive advantage
· Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of external market place, best practice and innovations
· Ensuring all new business development initiatives are aligned with wider business strategy

Communicates to new and proposed business partners in an informative and persuasive manner, ensuring all objections are effectively handled whilst successfully achieving buy in.

Experience
· Proven successful track record of New Business Sales experience in a complex, target driven environment
· Strong demonstrable track record of Board level negotiating experience
· Financial services industry.
· Previous development of business plans.
· Customer centric working environment.
