Job Title:		Senior Accounts Payable

Description:		Senior Accounts Payable - North Lanarkshire, Scotland Senior Accounts Payable - Central Scotland – Attractive salary + normal blue-chip benefits ROLE - Senior Accounts Payable – reporting to the Financial Accountant, responsible for:- · Day to day supervising duties to ensure work is up to date and performed to company policy and within deadline. · Updating & maintain computer systems. · Holding regular team meetings - provide and gain feedback, Identify process improvements, training. · Monitoring payments and Controls and ensure all work is performed on time and in line with Policy, Sarbanes Oxley and to deadline. · Chasing and following up old outstanding invoices. Focus the team on TB items and old credits. · Investigating and dealing with any Supplier and Customer inquiries. · Performing month end activities and provide metric information. · Keeping invoice query log up to date and resolve old items. · Assisting with unvouchered and suspense items. · Covering for holiday. · Attending team meetings and training as required. · Overseeing team of 2/3. · Performing all performance reviews/recruitment/staffing issues for the team. PERSON spec - higher weighting more important:- · 10 - Strong experience in Accounts Payable · 10 - Good interpersonal skills able to deal with enquiries in a confident, assertive, professional way. · 10 - Highly organized, able to prioritise with good attention to detail. · 10 - Ability to cope under pressure and meet deadlines in a high volume environment. · 10 - Good investigative and problem solving skills. · 10 – Strong Microsoft Office skills – in particular Excel · 10 - Reconciliation knowledge required. · 9 - Experienced in working in large organizations - preferably with shared service centres. · 9 – Strong customer focus with the ability to get results · 9 - Comfortable with integrated digitised technology. · 9 - Ability to run meetings independently at customer sites or via telecons. · 9 - Ability to deal with Change · 8 - Knowledge in SAP/Mapics advantageous · 8 – Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley advantageous
