Description:Product Development Manager-Offshore Investment Bo - London , London Company Information Our client is a large US and global insurance company that currently offers investment and pension products in the UK that is now seeking a Product Development Manager for onshore bonds & investments at the company’s Canary Wharf offices in London. Purpose A key new role in our client’s product team. An exciting opportunity to enter a leadership role to create and manage a new product line within a highly established global financial services organisation. This will include leading the introduction of a new offshore product into the offshore bond market. We are looking for a unique individual experienced in offshore investment product creation, implementation, research, and competitive intelligence. This position will lead research for the product team into current and potential products and markets for the Hartford in the UK. This position will lead the company in creating offshore unit-linked investment bonds. Principal Accountabilities Develop in-depth knowledge of the market dynamics affecting distribution of offshore products including competitive and distributor intelligence as well as a sound understanding of various factors that impact our pricing and fund partners. Direct various offshore product development, implementation and maintenance processes. The position will interact regularly with various sections of the company in Europe, including the Actuarial and Corporate areas. Responsibilities: Formulate the strategy for the offshore Investment Bond product line in the UK and lead the development and design of new products in this area. Own and develop research process for assessing market opportunities for the company, including mobilising internal resources and managing external suppliers. Understand the business models of the company key distribution partners and the distribution landscape for Hartford products. Engage with distributors and potential distributors to attune our strategy to current and future market needs. Define target customer needs and identify customer propositions for the company to develop. Work effectively with the product development team based in Dublin, London and the US to maximise successful product design and delivery. Work effectively with external business partners & stakeholders. Build and enhance relationships with key distribution partners’ product / research teams on an on-going basis. Assist Key Account Teams to secure panel positions. Candidate Specifications Bachelors or equivalent educational degree required At least 5 years experience required in senior product role in the UK offshore investments industry; 10 preferred. Sound knowledge of UK life, pension and investment products Strong technical and analytical skills Creativity in product ideas Strong leadership and management capabilities Strong entrepreneurial spirit Self starter with strong time management skills, Ability to handle shifting priorities Ability to work in and lead a team environment, Strong communications and organisation skills Fluent presenter able to sell ideas at the most senior level
