As a fast paced business in a high-growth sector, we encourage our team to live our values. An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Senior Pensions Scheme Accountant based in Welwyn Garden City. The main purpose of the position is to manage assigned pension scheme accounts in according with mutually agreed service level agreements and to ensure that regulatory and audit requirements are met. To ensure the timely and accurate delivery of accounts. To assist the team leader and in the absence of the team leader manage teams of accountants and accounts assistants responsible for the financial administration of client pension schemes. Candidates must be able to prove the following requirements:- AAT Qualified/ Part qualified ACCA/CIMA Previous experience in the production of full annual Accounts PC Literate; good keyboard skills and knowledge of MS Office including interpretation and manipulation of spreadsheets Excellent verbal & written communication skills Good understanding of FSA regulations Knowledge & practical understanding/experience of management practices of banking and client money in a FSA regulatory environment Good awareness of controls and risk The following would also be advantageous:- Experience of Caseware Producing Pension Scheme accounts to final sign off by Trustees and Final Auditor Previous experience of working in a client focused financial services industry Experience of working in a 3rd party administration environment Supervisory experience This position would suit someone of strong personality and character, able to deal with clients at all levels, who is used to dealing with multiple year ends or experience within a shared service centre.
