Our client is the UK leader in the short break holiday market with four villages, each one distinct, substantial and having significant infrastructures designed to create an attractive environment through a combination of forest and leisure facilities. They now require a Financial Controller.
As the Financial Controller you will form an integral part of the Senior Management team responsible for the full mix of financial management and reporting for the site including management accounting, site and group reporting, controls and analysis for operational purposes.
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for:
- driving the KPI’s and developing a strongly pro-active approach to business analysis and detailed management information
- looking for areas of improvement, developing the team and functioning to ensure the provision of an efficient user friendly financial management service.
Essential to your role you will have a strong combination of technical accounting ability, commercial awareness, team leadership and empathy for an environment in which customer service is paramount.
You will be a graduate qualified chartered or management accountant (or equivalent) with post qualification experience as either a senior accountant / controller in a fast moving service business.
You will possess strong IT skills, an excellent team leader capability and demonstrate the gravitas to manage the financial affairs of the village in such a way that it mirrors the high standards set by the group.
