Job Title:FINANCE OFFICER (16 -24 hours a week)
Description:FINANCE OFFICER (16 -24 hours a week) - Gerrards Cross , UK Our clients based in Gerrards Cross are a leading software organisation. They are currently looking to recruit an FINANCE OFFICER to work 16 -24 hours a week (can be split to suit both candidate and client) Working as part a small team you will be responsible for all aspects of Finance. Successful candidates MUST be fully proficient in all aspects of SAGE. Details of the Role: It is important to have a polite, professional manner and positive attitude, to become knowledgeable about the company and the product and be confident when speaking with clients, or prospective clients. We are looking for candidates who are commercially aware and business focused and who are motivated by achieving results and seeing projects through to conclusion and have strong organisational and writing skills. Nothing should be too much trouble and you should have a real ‘pitch-in’ attitude to your work and the team environment. You must be fully proficient in small business finance including: Sales ledger, Bought ledger, Accruals, VAT, Payroll, Excel for budget management, multi-company consolidation Key responsibilities: The role will include all elements of finance, supporting a high quality professional business with much scope for personal involvement and providing lots of variety, interest and challenge. Areas of responsibility will include: • Finance data entry, • Invoicing, • Credit control, • Report preparation, Daily Accounts - Sage Entering Supplier invoices in to Sage Entering Supplier credit notes Entering Supplier payments Entering a Sales Invoice / Sales Credit Reports: Create an Aged Creditors Report Aged Debtors reports Deferred income Accruals Trial balance Balance Sheet Transactional P&L Nominal Activity Other activities Raising suppliers Cheques Expenses Salary transfers Bank reconciliation VAT returns International Transfers Raising approved Purchase orders – reconcile to delivery Excellent Use of all Microsoft Products including Excel, Word and Outlook is essential. Excellent phone voice and good communication skills are a pre-requisite. The candidate must hold a UK driving licence. Key personality traits: • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude • Attention to detail • Must fit into a team well • Previously worked in a small company • Happy to do what is required to get the job done to a high quality level • Common sense • Work well with people at all levels • Smart • Keen to develop existing skill sets • Ambitious to take on more responsibility and be rewarded Our client is offering a very generous basic of £25,000 pro rata for the successful candidate.
