To work as part of the team, effectively providing hands on advisory service that exceeds client expectations and supports the partner/manager team.
Main responsibilities
supports managers in planning assignments to include approach, resources, scheduling
takes ownership of management involving budgeting and billing
manages own portfolio of smaller assignments, reporting directly to partner
briefs team on scope of work and allocation
ensures that review reports are complete
ensures the efficient and effective delivery of assignments including review of staff work, and completion of assignment appraisals
creates and delivers professional presentations to clients on issues arising from reviews
manages and develops teams on specific assignments, with line management responsibility for a group of staff
delegates work to other members of team, ensuring assistants understand their responsibilities
Person Specification
Education / qualifications
Essential
Maths and English Language at GCSE or equivalent
Professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA) or some financial accounting knowledge
Desirable
First time passes at each stage of professional exams
CISA or QiCA qualification (TRM).
Essential
Experience of using Microsoft packages, internet, email.
Experience of providing TRM/Risk Management services.
Experience of preparing and delivering presentations. Previous experience of client work in relevant industries to Grant Thornton audit clients.
Intellect: Gathers information and analyses situations in a thorough and accurate manner, suggesting solutions to client situations
Judgement: Makes recommendations to assignment leaders with proper consideration of pros, cons and consequences
Credibility and communication: Projects an appropriate professional image and explains issues and concepts clearly and confidently within team and with clients
Other: Flexibility to be able to travel to clients premises and to work away from home and must hold a full driving licence
